End
Of Alice
written by Jason Barrett
My face is weak w/ trembling tears, dear Lord, I can justify
cause I had a girl of such tenderness that broke me apart inside
I moved to the cuts to escape myself; this wolf in a sheep's disguise
my impulsive affliction, I can’t resist, the innocence in their eyes
Love has it’s consequence
Sex & violence
If we didn’t know now
what we didn’t know then
we’d make the same mistakes
all over again
I’d sustained myself for months on end, while my demons slowly subside
when, down by lake, I caught a glimpse of beauty personified
She was nearly thirteen w/ pigtails, a knock-kneed step to her stride
I lost myself; broke my will, she would have to be mine
Love has it’s consequence
Sex & violence
If we didn’t know now
what we didn’t know then
we’d fall in love
all over again
Plagued w/ memories, my cell’s adorned w/ clippings of my crime
of that fateful night when her screams turned to whispers, her whispers into
sighs
so to end our correspondence, i bid you ado & regretfully I sign
remembering girls of such tenderness that broke me apart inside
Love has it’s consequence
Sex & violence
If we didn’t know now
what we didn’t know then
we’d make the same mistakes
all over again
